The beauty of abstract oil art is amazing. Oil paints on canvas help the artist to create some memorising colours, shapes and lines. These simple elements of art can alone paint a great story.
Similar to my many other abstract oil art paintings, I mainly use my favourite palette knife to spread the oil paints to create texture, different shapes and lines. Oil paints are a beautiful medium to work with. However, oil paints ask you to be patient and take your time to admire the way they cover the surface of the canvas and the overall creation of abstract oil art.
Take your time also when viewing oil paints. Let the painting try to connect with you.
In this stunning painting, I used several oil paints and many layers to create a colourful and vibrant feeling. We all need that feeling of motivation and inspiration, from time to time, and art is known to be able to do just that instantly if you allow it.
Painting is a visual expressive language that helps us to visit different dimensions of our innermost emotions – the artist as well as the viewers.
This abstract oil art painting demonstrates effectively the contrast between warm and cold colours creating a nice rhythm, balance and harmony. Red is a hot colour but blends quite nicely with cold colours, such as blue and purple in this painting. Purple adds elegance to any painting.
Yellow ochre is an earthy colour that establishes a comfortable atmosphere combined together with the openness of white.
All the elements of the painting, together, seem to play a beautiful piece of music, with or without the lyrics.
